Molesworth Clinic has been a family run dental practice since 1992. Originally owned and run by Drs John and Rose Dore-Geraghty, and now by Dr Audrey Dore-Geraghty and her husband, Dr Huw Anthony, it is a long established and well respected clinic. We have a strong emphasis on providing world class cosmetic and implant dentistry. Our newly refurbished clinic is also situated right in the heart of the city, just off of Grafton St with easy commuter access through the Luas, Dart, Bus or on foot or by car.
Dental Implants at Molesworth dental clinic are performed by Dr Huw Anthony. Dr Anthony qualified at Cardiff University and previously worked at a specialist dental implant clinic in South Wales. He gained a certificate in dental implantology after completing advanced training at the Northern Ireland Centre for Implant dentistry based in Belfast. Here he undertook training with renowned clinicians and gained experience in treating advanced cases. He is also a graduate of the California Centre for Advanced Dental Studies. At the Molesworth Clinic we place and restore all of our own dental implants. The entire implant procedure is completed by us at the clinic, which means there is no inconvenience having to travel around to different dental clinics.
The dental implants that we use at our clinic in Dublin are made from a special type of titanium. The two implant systems we specialise in are the Biohorizons implant system and the Straumann dental implant system. These are two long established implant companies that have multiple studies showing a very high long term success rate. When the dental implants are placed they are left for a period of between 3 and 6 months to allow for a process called osseointegration. This time allows the bone to fuse with the implant and become part of the jaw bone. After this time we can start the
Having been nervous about the idea of dental implants I decided to take the plunge and could not believe how easy the team at Molesworth clinic made it for me. I had 4 dental implants and if i can do it anyone can! Thanks again Dr Anthony and your team. MR
You have created a wonderful and modern dental surgery that is more like a boutique hotel! I loved the friendly atmosphere and the personal touch. Im not afraid of dentists so the treatment was easy for me, but to have teeth back that feel like my own is amazing. PR
Dental implants are considered as the first choice in tooth replacement. A dental implant is the closest you can get to a natural tooth. They are fixed in place and do not move. This means that you can smile with confidence, chew with confidence and begin to enjoy your smile again.
Smiling and chewing! If we begin to lose teeth, force levels on the remaining teeth are greatly increased meaning a higher chance of wear and fracture. Without a tooth in place the surrounding bone will also begin to resorb away. This can cause future problems and mean that tooth replacement becomes very difficult.
Dental implants have been available in Ireland for over 60 years but have only recently become part of mainstream dentistry. A dental implant can be used to help restore a number of different scenarios:
Dental Implants have a 97% success rate once they are properly integrated with the bone. Should the implant not integrate properly, it will be removed and another implant placed in a slightly different position at no extra charge to you.
Almost anyone who is missing a tooth, several teeth or all of their teeth can be a candidate for dental imps. To find out what options best suit you we recommend that you come in for a (complimentary) consultation with Dr Huw Anthony
No. There is some associated discomfort, but here at Molesworth Clinic we do our very best to minimise this for you. We provide you with painkillers before we begin treatment, we use the very best local anaesthetics so you won’t feel any discomfort during the treatment, we provide you with a prescription at the end of treatment for pain relief and we give you post- op instructions and things you can do at home to help minimise any discomfort you may experience.
We do our best to be as competitively priced as possible. We regularly review dental implant prices in Northern Ireland, Dublin and Hungary. We understand that cost of dental implants is an important factor for patients so we offer different payment plan options, considering what best suits your needs and budget. Payment plans can be discussed at your consultation and are based upon the treatment you require. We provide dental implants from only €1800.
