6 Month Braces

Do you have crooked teeth, that are causing you embarrassment?

Do you find you often smile with your hand over your mouth?

Do you want straighter teeth in around six months?

Perhaps you have orthodontics when you were younger, and now your teeth have gone back to being crooked?

6 Month Braces The Modern Solution to Crooked Teeth

The simple solution to your problem is an amazing new technique called 6 month braces. This is a fixed brace system with a revolutionary new way of moving your teeth, which allows us to do it in far less time than conventional braces.

All of the dentists at the Molesworth Dental Clinic have postgraduate qualifications in orthodontics from the University of Warwick.
We have been providing 6 month braces and comprehensive orthodontics for over ten years and are one of Ireland's largest providers of 6 Month Braces. Dr Huw Anthony has published articles and lectured on the subject in the UK.

We have helped many people achieve the smile of their dreams without having to wear braces for an extended period.
The 6 month braces technique is a fast and effective way to provide you with the smile you have always wanted. Frequently provided as an alternative to veneers to straighten the front teeth and give a beautiful smile.

Why is 6 month braces different to normal braces?

The short answer is that it is not. The braces that are placed on your teeth are idential to the braces that we use for comprehensive orthodontics that takes close to 18 months. Comprehensive orthodontics is focused on changing bad occlusions (bites) into better bites.
6 Month braces leaves the bite as it is and straightens the teeth into perfect alignment.

Who is suitable for 6 (six) month braces?

Almost everyone is suitable for 6 (six) month braces.
Even if the bite is not how it should be, 6 month braces can still correct crocked front teeth and create a much better cosmetic effect. After a comprehensive assessment you will be advised on your suitability for 6 month braces.

Can you get 3 month braces or 9 month braces?

Of course. No two cases are the same. Simple cases can be finished in as little as 3 months. Some very crowded cases can take up to a year to treat correctly. You will be given an approximation of length of treatment at your consultation.

Do I have a choice on what type of braces I wear?

Of course. You have two choices. Metal braces or white braces. Metal braces are very strong and tend to work slightly quicker than the white braces. White braces are either made from ceramic or a composite material. They are very discrete and are the main type of 6 month braces that we use in Molesworth Clinic.

When my braces come off do i need a retainer?

Retainers are a vitally important part of all types of orthodontic treatments. They are vital to maintain your new perfect smile. Bonded retainers are thin wires that are placed on the inside of the bottom teeth. They can also be used behind the top teeth but only in certain circumstances. The normal retainer is a thin plastic shield that fits accurately and comfortably onto your teeth. Retainers are worn permanently for 3 months, night time only for 6 months then every 2nd night for an extended period of time. They should be replaced every 2 years to ensure continued adequate retention.

Ok, Im interested in these 6 month braces, but how much does this all cost?

Prices do vary. They start at 2500 Euros and rise to 4000 Euros depending on the complexity of the case. The fee includes all visits, one set of clear retainers and tooth whitening to finish off your perfect smile. Payment can be spread throughout your treatment with a 500 Euro deposit needed to start your treatment.

I hate the dentist.. how often will i need to attend?

Once a month on average, and dont worry there is no needles and usually no drilling. Its one of the easiest dental treatments to have!
